The survey on residents’ internet use (purposes, habits, and other related topics) has been carried out since 2004 in all EU Member States using a harmonised methodology. This allows us to track how people aged 16 to 74 use the internet and how their habits change over time.
If you have received an invitation letter, you were selected through random sampling. You will be asked about how often you use the internet, your online shopping habits, and other internet and technology-related questions.
In line with applicable EU and Latvian legislation, the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB) is authorised to collect and process personal data and is required to protect the data you provide and keep it confidential. The results will be published only in aggregated form and will be used to analyse social and economic trends in Latvia, as well as to calculate international indicators such as the Digital Economy and Society Index (DESI), which is part of the European Digital Decade programme.
Online interviews
If you have received an invitation by post email or via your electronic address (e-address) to complete the questionnaire online, you can do that at e.csp.gov.lv from 12 January to 20 February.
