Data collection for the survey will take place from 21 September 2026 to 30 December 2026.
Online interviews
Respondents included in the sample will receive an invitation from the Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia (CSB) to participate in the survey by official electronic address (e-address), e-mail or post.
The survey will begin with an opportunity to complete the questionnaire electronically via e.csp.gov.lv (hereinafter – EDV) by the deadline specified in the invitation letter. Respondents will be able to log in to EDV using the multi-factor authentication options available through Latvija.lv. More detailed login instructions will be provided in the invitation letter.
If it is not possible to submit the forms via the EDV system, they may be sent by post to Talejas iela 1, Rīga, LV-1026, Latvia, or by e-mail to lauksaimnieciba@csp.gov.lv.

Telephone and face-to-face interviews
If you have received an information letter regarding participation in the survey, a CSB interviewer will contact you during the period specified in the letter to conduct a telephone interview or arrange a suitable time for a face-to-face interview. Please note that the interviewer may also contact you on weekday evenings (after 17:00), as well as at weekends (Saturday or Sunday).

To save your time, during this reporting period you will have the opportunity to submit data for two related surveys at the same time:
- **Integrated Farm Statistics Survey 2026 (IFS 2026)¹;
- the annual **Crop Production Survey 2026 (2-LS)².
The CSB will request only data that are not available in national registers. Information already submitted to the Rural Support Service, the Register of Farm Animals and other state information systems will not be requested again.

The questionnaire to be completed by the respondent for the Integrated Farm Statistics Survey 2026 and the Crop Production Survey 2026:
Questionnaire:
1 To provide the official statistics on the activities of agricultural holdings specified in Cabinet Regulation No. 752 of 16 December 2025 “Regulations Regarding the Official Statistics Programme 2026–2028” (Paragraph 16.25), in accordance with Section 14, Paragraph one of the Statistics Law.
² To provide the official statistics on crop production specified in Cabinet Regulation No. 752 of 16 December 2025 “Regulations Regarding the Official Statistics Programme 2026–2028” (Paragraphs 16.2, 16.13, 16.14 and 16.15), in accordance with Section 14, Paragraph one of the Statistics Law.
The purpose of the surveys is to provide comprehensive and internationally comparable statistics on the structure and production of agricultural holdings, including information on crop areas and yields, the number of farm animals and animal housing, the use of fertilisers, soil liming and land rental, as well as the use of products produced and purchased by the holding, employment and other gainful activities.
The collected data will be specified until 29 February. To do that, respondents, if needed, will be contacted by the Agricultural Statistics Section employees by phone.

Integrated Farm Statistics survey under this title is conducted for the first time, however it is a continuation of the former farm structure surveys. EU legislation requires conducting such farm surveys every three years – in between the Agricultural Censuses conducted once in a decade.
Integrated Farm Statistics 2023 results will provide information on the number and structure of farms, utilisation of agricultural area, soil tillage and conservation practices, orchard areas, agricultural machinery and equipment, labour force in agriculture, other gainful activities of the holdings, etc.
The respondents will only be asked to give the information not available in the following administrative sources:
- Rural Support Service (RSS) Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS);
- RSS information on rural development support;
- Agricultural Data Centre (ADC) Livestock Register;
- ADC Livestock Housing Register;
- ADC Organic Farming Information System.
The data provided by agricultural holdings are used to produce agricultural statistics which serves as a base of sectoral analysis as well as national and EU-level agricultural policy and rural development decision-making and planning and implementation of the common agricultural policy (CAP). The variables may also be used to assess impact of agricultural practices on the environment and climate change, quality and safety of agricultural products, as well as give regional, national and EU-level comparisons of agricultural activities
