Respondents will be interviewed during the period from 18 September 2023 to 15 January 2024.

Respondents who received a CSB letter inviting to complete electronic questionnaire, may do that at https://e.csp.gov.lv during the period from 18 September to 5 December.

  • Registered users can sign in with an existing EDC username and password;
  • New users are required to sign up with the EDC system.

The respondents who received an invitational letter, at a time stated in it, will be contacted by a CSB interviewer for a telephone interview or to arrange time for a face-to-face interview.

Respondents willing to verify identity of the interviewer or find out something more about the survey may:

Integrated Farm Statistics survey under this title is conducted for the first time, however it is a continuation of the former farm structure surveys. EU legislation requires conducting such farm surveys every three years – in between the Agricultural Censuses conducted once in a decade.

Integrated Farm Statistics 2023 results will provide information on the number and structure of farms, utilisation of agricultural area, soil tillage and conservation practices, orchard areas, agricultural machinery and equipment, labour force in agriculture, other gainful activities of the holdings, etc.

The respondents will only be asked to give the information not available in the following administrative sources:

  • Rural Support Service (RSS) Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS);
  • RSS information on rural development support;
  • Agricultural Data Centre (ADC) Livestock Register;
  • ADC Livestock Housing Register;
  • ADC Organic Farming Information System.

The data provided by agricultural holdings are used to produce agricultural statistics which serves as a base of sectoral analysis as well as national and EU-level agricultural policy and rural development decision-making and planning and implementation of the common agricultural policy (CAP). The variables may also be used to assess impact of agricultural practices on the environment and climate change, quality and safety of agricultural products, as well as give regional, national and EU-level comparisons of agricultural activities
