Interviewing will take place from 21 September to 30 December 2026.
In 2026, agricultural statistics is collected through two related questionnaires: Integrated Farm Statistics (IFS‑2026) and Annual Crop Survey (2‑LS). To save respondents time, both questionnaires have been combined into one.
Central Statistical Bureau of Latvia uses administrative data from national registers, so respondents will only need to provide information that is not available there and, where necessary, check or clarify the data already obtained.
The survey aims to collect comprehensive and internationally comparable statistics on the structure of agricultural holdings, crop production, labour force in agriculture, and other gainful activities. The collected data are used to calculate indicators charactering agricultural production, prices, land and rent, assess the contribution of agriculture to the economy, and plan development of the sector. They also support informed decisions on agricultural policy in Latvia and the European Union and help assess the impact of agriculture on the environment and climate change.
Web interviewing
The online questionnaire will be available in the CSB Electronic Data Collection (EDV) system e.csp.gov.lv until the deadline specified in the invitation. It should be completed by the addressee of the invitation letter received by post, email or via your electronic address (e-address).
Access to the online questionnaire is available only to invitation addressees, who can log in using Internet banking, e-identification card, or an e-signature. More detailed login instructions will be provided in the invitation.
If it is not possible to submit the questionnaire through the EDV system, it may be sent by post to Talejas iela 1, Rīga, LV-1026, Latvia, or by email to lauksaimnieciba@csp.gov.lv.

Personal and telephone interviewing
Part of the respondents included in the survey sample will be contacted by a CSB interviewer to provide the information by telephone or arrange a face-to-face interview. Respondents who do not complete the online questionnaire during the web-interviewing period may also be contacted. Interviewers work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and public holidays, so an interview can be scheduled at a time that is most convenient for you.
When visiting in person, the interviewer will present a CSB employee identification card with a photograph. If you want to verify identity of your interviewer or find out any other information about the survey:

Integrated Farm Statistics are collected to produce official statistics on the activities of agricultural holdings specified in Cabinet Regulation No. 752 of 16 December 2025 on the Official Statistics Programme 2026–2028 (Paragraph 16.25), in accordance with Section 14, Paragraph one of the Statistics Law.
Annual Crop Survey is conducted to produce the official statistics on crop production specified in Cabinet Regulation No. 752 of 16 December 2025 on the Official Statistics Programme 2026–2028 (Paragraphs 16.2, 16.13, 16.14 and 16.15), in accordance with Section 14, Paragraph one of the Statistics Law.
The applicable laws and regulations of the European Union and of the Republic of Latvia allow the CSB to collect and process personal data and mandate it to ensure the protection and confidentiality of the data received. The information acquired will only be published as a summarised data and used to analyse economic and social phenomena and processes.
Responsibility of the respondents, in accordance with Section 14 of the Statistics Law, is to support the production of official statistics by providing truthful information and participating in the survey.

Integrated Farm Statistics survey under this title is conducted for the first time, however it is a continuation of the former farm structure surveys. EU legislation requires conducting such farm surveys every three years – in between the Agricultural Censuses conducted once in a decade.
Integrated Farm Statistics 2023 results will provide information on the number and structure of farms, utilisation of agricultural area, soil tillage and conservation practices, orchard areas, agricultural machinery and equipment, labour force in agriculture, other gainful activities of the holdings, etc.
The respondents will only be asked to give the information not available in the following administrative sources:
- Rural Support Service (RSS) Integrated Administration and Control System (IACS);
- RSS information on rural development support;
- Agricultural Data Centre (ADC) Livestock Register;
- ADC Livestock Housing Register;
- ADC Organic Farming Information System.
The data provided by agricultural holdings are used to produce agricultural statistics which serves as a base of sectoral analysis as well as national and EU-level agricultural policy and rural development decision-making and planning and implementation of the common agricultural policy (CAP). The variables may also be used to assess impact of agricultural practices on the environment and climate change, quality and safety of agricultural products, as well as give regional, national and EU-level comparisons of agricultural activities
