About us
The CSB is a direct administration body subordinated to the Ministry of Economics, and acting as the main performer and coordinator of the official statistical work in the country. The CSB is responsible for organisation of the statistical work and authenticity of the data it has produced by summarising the information obtained from respondents.

The Official Statistics Programme is set out by a Cabinet Regulation every three years and defines the official statistics to be produced over the following three years by the Central Statistical Bureau and other national authorities.

If you have received a letter from Central Statistical Bureau inviting you to participate in a survey, find more information on it.
Statistics on income and living conditions
Online questionnaire available at e.csp.gov.lv from 31 January to 21 February 2026. Telephone and personal interviews conducted from 31 January to 30 June 2026.
Survey on the Use of ICT in Households and by Individuals 2026
Online survey e.csp.gov.lv from 12 January to 20 February. Telephone interviews from 23 February to 29 May.
Survey on energy consumption in households in 2025
Online questionnaire available at e.csp.gov.lv until 18 January. Telephone and personal interviews conducted from 19 January to 30 April 2026.
Survey on recreational and business trips of residents
Interviews take place throughout the year, from January to December. The questionnaire can be filled using a smartphone or online e.csp.gov.lv
Labour Force Survey
The survey will be conducted in four waves with a break of few months between the interviews. Questionnaire can be filled online – e.csp.gov.lv

Integrated Farm Statistics 2023
The information received from respondents will be specified until 29 February.
Population and Housing Census 2021
2021 is the year of the Population and Housing Census, which will differ from the previous years of the census in that the interviewers of the CSB will not visit in person the population for interviews and individuals will not have to fill in electronic questionnaires.
Agricultural Census 2020
