The survey on leisure and business trips has been carried out for 12 years in all European Union Member States, following a common and proven method, and allows to keep track of changes in the tourism industry and travel habits of the population. The results will be comparable among the Baltic and other countries.
If you have received the invitation letter from CSB to participate in the survey, all the persons aged 15 and over actually living in the household will be surveyed.
You will be asked about leisure and business trips – destination, duration, aim, transport used, types of accommodation and reservation thereof, as well as expenditures.
Please participate in the survey also in case you have not made any trips.
In accordance with regulatory enactments of the European Union and the Republic of Latvia, the CSB has a right to collect and process personal data and is obliged to ensure protection and confidentiality of the data respondents provide. The information acquired will be published only in a summarised form for the analysis of economic and social phenomena and related processes.
Online interviews
If you have received CSB letter inviting you to complete online questionnaire, visit our website e.csp.gov.lv during the period indicated in the letter.
Only one person who is declared at the address on the envelope and is at least 15 years of age is requested to fill in the online questionnaire, and the sign up process is done by using internet banking, an e-ID card or an e-signature.

Telephone or face-to-face interviews
Upon arrival, interviewer will present a CSB employee identification card with a photo.
