Application of the classification is set by the:
- Regulations of the Cabinet No 631 “Regulations on the List of Industrial Products” of 27 September 2016;
- Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 November 2019 on European business statistics, repealing 10 legal acts in the field of business statistics (Text with EEA relevance);
- Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2020/1197 of 30 July 2020 laying down technical specifications and arrangements pursuant to Regulation (EU) 2019/2152 of the European Parliament and of the Council on European business statistics repealing 10 legal acts in the field of business statistics (Text with EEA relevance)
- Commission Regulation (EU) 2019/1933 of 6 November 2019 establishing the “PRODCOM list” of industrial products provided for by Council Regulation (EEC) No 3924/91 (with EEA relevance).

Description of hierarchy
National codes of industrial products are merged with the EU PRODCOM classification codes in one list which additionally has level 4 (9th and 10th digit of the code), moreover additional items are created as a precise division of the PRODCOM List content.
